  • URGENT: LOCAL HEALTH RISK FOR STUDENTS

    HALTH

The local Hastings and Prince Edward Heath unit has issue a high alert warning for students and youth in the local area. In recent weeks, highly dangerous drugs have been discovered in circulation and have been linked to several youth deaths in Eastern Ontario. These deaths have resulted from youth consuming drugs containing illicit FENTANYL that appeared to be prescriptions that were illegally sold on the street as well as MARIJUANA, COCAINE and other street drugs that were laced. These drugs and the risk they present are confirmed to be present in our region. These drugs are highly addictive and in many cases deadly in even small amounts; the chance of overdose is extremely high.

As always, the best decision is to avoid the consumption of any illegal or street drugs as that is really the only true way to be safe. If you do make the choice to use drugs or you believe someone has slipped you a drug at a party and you begin to feel ill, contact help immediately.  DO NOT WAIT TO SEE IF THE EFFECTS WEAR OFF.  Similarly, if you see someone who has consumed something and they are acting strangely, show your caring by contacting help or calling 911 immediatley.  You need to know that Fentanyl is NOT a second chance drug and not something to take a risk with.

FOOTBALL SAINTS - NATIONAL CAPITAL BOWL CHAMPIONS

nat cap  JR FOOTBALL SAINTS finish the season with a disappointing end! When the National Capital Bowl game was cancelled due to too much snow and ice on the field, the SAINTS were ready for the game to be rescheduled.  Unfortunately, the Frontenac Falcons were unable to play leaving the SAINTS without the victory. In our hearts we know our SAINTS were ready!  An outstanding season, with so much to be proud of.

SAINTS FOOTBALL MAKE HISTORY

cossa football The Jr Football Team defeated TASS to win the first COSSA title in 61 years.

BAY OF QUINTE CHAMPIONS

The JR. FOOTBALL TEAM have had an excellent season so far with only one loss in the regular season to CSS by 1 point. The SAINTS defeated CSS in the Bay of Quinte Championship 36-8 with an outstanding team effort.  The defense was too tough for the CSS offense and the CSS defense could not stop the SAINTS offense.  It all started with a touchdown by Mac Kinnear off the CSS kick off. The SAINTS will host COSSA on Wednesday!  Good luck SAINTS
