    MADDY AND JAKE  The SAINTS Annual Athletic Banquet was held last      evening celebrating athetic achievement for 2015-16.  For  every team, AWARDS were presented for CHARACTER:  Leadership, Teamwork, Hardest Working, Commitment,  Sportsmanship, and Perseverance.  It was great to see so  many athletes recognized for their character in sport.  "Your athletic abilities may fade, but your character you  develop in sport never will". Thank you to Mr. Parcels for acting as athletic director and organizing the banquet (with lots of help from coaches)  Thanks also to our parents and families who continue to support our athletes. Thank you to our coaches who give so much of their time to our athletic program.

Supporting Teens in Making Healthy Choices

Hastings Prince Edward Public Health and Hastings Prince Edward District School Board have partnered to assist parents in supporting teens in making healthy choices about drugs and alcohol. On Tuesday May 10th, at 7:00pm at Quinte Secondary School, we welcome psychologist, comedian and public speaker Dr. Matt Bellace, for this free event for parents.

TESSA LYNG - A GOLDEN SWIMMER

TESSA LYNG Congratulations to Tessa Lyng who won Gold at the COSSA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS.  Tessa will now compete in the OFSAA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS in Windsor.  Good luck Tessa!

SR. BASKETBALL CAPTURE COSSA GOLD

cossa bball Congratulations to the Sr. Men's Basketball Team who captured GOLD in the COSSA AA Basketball Championships on Friday.  The SAINTS will now represent COSSA at the OFSAA Championships in Timmins Ontario March 7-9th.  In the semi final game, the SAINTS had a slow start but began to dominate in the fourth quarter. Top scorers for the SAINTS were Dave Taylor, Chris Primo, Christian Crossley and Jack Whitley. In the final game the SAINTS would be competing against HOLY CROSS, the second best team in Kawartha. The SAINTS played amazing team defense shutting down the top basketball player in Kawartha.  Christian Crossley played unbelievable defense and was a key factor in the 58-37 win for the SAINTS. Jack Whitley was top scorer in the win for the SAINTS, with Dave Taylor and Crossley close behind. Jake McCaw continues to be a force defensively and on the boards. Jordan Stanfield demonstrated his leadership on the court keeping the team controlled in the final moments of the game. Check out the video on facebook of the celebration!  

BAY OF QUINTE SILVER FOR SAINTS BASKETBALL

bball Congratulations to the Sr. Men's Basketball Team who earned silver in the Bay of Quinte Championships on Saturday. The SAINTS faced long time rival NCC Crusaders who had defeated the SAINTS during the regular season. The SAINTS played an excellent defensive game but struggled offensively. The SAINTS defeated ST T's Titans 80-37 to advance to the Bay of Quinte Final. The SAINTS are the #1 seed heading into the COSSA Championships being held in Peterborough Friday, February 26.

SR SAINTS WIN HOOPS FOR HOPE

HOOPS FOR HOPE The Sr. Men's Basketball team hosted the Hoops for Hope Tournament this past weekend raising funds for BGH Oncololgy.  The Leadership Class organized the tournament.  It was a 4 team tournament with Moira Secondary, QECVI from Kingston and St. Peter's from Peterborough.  In the tournament opener in front of a huge crowd of SAINTS Fans, the team broke through their nervousness to win the game. In their second game vs QECVI, a 3 point buzzer beater by Jack Whitley lead the team to another win. In their game against MSS, the SAINTS dominated. In the final game vs St. Peter's, the SAINTS were up by 22 points but gave up a few easy hoops to bring the lead down to 5.  The SAINTS worked hard defensivley and captured the tournament championship!  Good start SAINTS.

SR FOOTBALL DEFEAT MSS IN SEMI WILL BATTLE CSS FOR BAY OF QUINTE TITLE

FOOTBALL COME OUT SATURDAY @ 1 TO SUPPORT THE SR SAINTS FOOTBALL TEAM IN THEIR BATTLE FOR THE BAY OF QUINTE TITLE.  GAME IS ON THE TURF AT MA SILLS PARK.
