SAINTS RAISE $8,700 FOR BGH ONCOLOGY

bgh 2015The Leadership Class exceeded their goal this year and raised over $8,700.00 for BGH Oncology. Their goal was the raise $7000 and Principal Woodley agreed that she would shave her head if they reached or exceeded their goal. Thanks so much to Corey McMurter, former SAINT and cancer survivor who offered to shave Ms. Woodley's head. Thanks also to Kadence McMurter who cut her pony tail to support the Cause as well.  The Leadership Class organized several events in May to raise funds including a bake sale and raffle held at the Quinte Mall, Sport a Thon, a coin drive and Cuts for Cancer. Thank you to student leaders Laura Massicotte, Jake Carroll and Rylie Austin who put in countless hours for the cause. Thank you also to our community for supporting us and BGH Oncology!

JANA DANHOFER CROWNED COSSA TENNIS CHAMPION

jANA DANHOFER Congratulations to Jana Danhofer for her Gold Medals at the Bay of Quinte and COSSA  Tennis Championships.  Jana will represent QSS at the OFSAA Championships at York University.

SAINTS SR. BOYS RUGBY CAPTURE BAY OF QUINTE GOLD

RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP SR. BOYS RUGBY TEAM MAKE HISTORY BY CAPTURING THE FIRST EVER BAY OF QUINTE CHAMPIONSHIP!

Demonstrating incredible character, grit and perserverance the Sr. Boys Rugby Team beat the THS Tigers 22-12 in a battle to the finish.  The SAINTS went up by a try earlier and it looked like they would never look back.  But as the final minutes of the clock were ticking, the TIGERS started to put some pressure on but the SAINTS fought back! Trenton coach Brian Meindl congratulated the team describing them as a "classy group of athletes".  It was definitely a team effort with every player putting forth their best effort!  Congratulations SAINTS!

QUINTE FIGHTS CANCER MONTH

qfcqfc  Last year, QSS raised over $6000 for BGH Oncology and also donated money to Marlo (a young child in our community fighting cancer). This year, our goal is to raise over $7000.  Our Principal, Ms. Woodley, has agreed to shave her head if we exceed this goal! Corey McMurter, a recent grad and  cancer survivor would like to shave Ms. Woodley's head if he is well enough.  Corey just had a stem cell transplant as he is battling leukemia. Help us make a difference by donating @ http://t.co/3VrLbSSWt0
